By popular
demand, we are returning to the site of last year's "(2)007...
Licensed to Cache" event. We had hoped to effectu8te a new
theme based on the 2008 new year and things were sh8ping up
good until we learned that January 8th was not
available...(the first Tuesday of the month was a holiday, for
those of you still recovering). So now here we are, two weeks
l8te and still unable to fabric8te a theme. It's frustr8ting.
We'll keep specul8ting on the possibilities hoping to incub8te
an idea that will open the flood g8tes of cre8tivity and
precipit8te some kind of theme. In the meantime, pen in the
d8te, come out of hibern8tion, navig8te on down, commiser8te
and collabor8te with cachers from near and far, newbees and
oldies, welcoming friendlies all! And if you haven't already
8te, you're in luck.
Farrell’s has long been known for its extensive, varied menu and
delicious food. A warm casual atmosphere and gre8t staff awa8t you
and will certainly make this a Nite Out to remember!
Farrells is located at 245 Marlborough Street (Route 66) in
Portland... minutes from everywhere! More minutes from some places
than others, but you get the drift... right? The gathering
officially starts at 7:00 p.m., but for those with FTF in mind,
("First to Feast" in this case), come anytime! For detailed
directions and a peek at the menu Click

To all of the newest cachers out there, please make it your New
Year's Resolution to attend your first event and get to know some
of the best friends you never knew you had. This is your chance!
You're going to have fun. Don't say we didn't warn you......
Sincerely, "paddlehikers" (Don & Laurie)
The Central CT Cacher’s Nite Out is an evening gathering on the
first Tuesday of every month (well, most months anyway). Mark your
calendars now! Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend...you don't
have to reside in CT, and you certainly don't have to be an
experienced cacher...new folks are most welcome! Let us know
if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted. This
event features new or rotating hosts every month, and changing
locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact
KD&MS. As host, you’ll select a location; get the coordinates;
and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There are a number
of places in the Greater Hartford area to enjoy good food and
drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee and
be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers
from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask
that the event itself be held in the central CT area.
