Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Beresford to Blue Springs section of Volusia County's new Spring to Spring Trail. You seek a Clan Riffster ammo can just a few feet off the paved trail, roughly 2 miles from Beresford Park, and roughly 1 mile from Blue Springs. Don't forget your Aluminum Foil Deflector beanie!

It has often been asked at various NEFGA events, "What's up with the tin foil beanie?" In truth, the correct term is Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie, or AFDB, as it is commonly known that tin lacks the necessary deflective capabilities found in aluminum. The purpose of this cache is to offer instruction on both sides of the AFDB issue.

----------------------------------------
Point:
The primary purpose of an AFDB is to prevent psychotronic manipulation by the New World Order, (Novus Ordo Mundi), the Illuminati and their NSA/CIA cronies. Our Government has long known about the deflective properties of aluminum, as evidenced by the fact that the town of Roswell New Mexico was founded in 1910, the same year that aluminum foil was patented. Coincidence? Consider this: The Reynolds company was hastily moved from it's small factory in Ohio, to Roswell, in 1947, two weeks prior to the infamous UFO crash. They were directed by Congress in a top secret meeting, to change from being a generic milling company to a mass producer of aluminum foil. Coincidence?

Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla have all written dissertations demonstrating the power of aluminum in blocking certain wavelengths. These dissertations, (along with several others from lesser known scientists), have all been classified top secret, and hidden away in a vault under the Pentagon. Coincidence?

This illustration demonstrates conclusively how an AFDB operates:
FIGURE 1: An AFDB-covered brain (A) is shielded by a repulsive resonance buffer (B), which deflects psychotronic fields (C). Coherent psychotronic rays (D) are defected at the aluminum surface (E) and decoherently scattered (F). The resonance buffer encapsulates the brain (G), providing basal protection against fields and glancing rays. Seems pretty simple to me.

For those doubting Thomases amongst us, I offer one more piece of evidence: In 1974, an unidentified Congressman released a Top Secret document titled TINFOIL-HATS, an acronym for Theory Integrating Numerous Flying Object Incidents Likely Having Associations To Slayings, a unified theory that explained the JFK assassination in terms of alien involvement and a government coverup. This document was printed in its entirety by the New York Press, shortly before their entire building mysteriously burnt to the ground, bankrupting the owners. The Government offered funding to that paper's only significant competition, the New York Times, who promptly issued a story refuting the TINFOIL-HATS theory. To date, the New York Times has refused numerous requests for any and all supporting documents or sources of information for this so called rebuttal. Coincidence?

Counterpoint:
In 1985, someone claiming to be ex CIA operative Norm Smith wrote a book titled "The Awful Truth About AFDB's". Mr Smith's book reveals that the whole AFDB conspiracy was dreamed up by his office as a way to track crackpots across the country.

Mr Smith demonstrates that AFDB's give off a very distinct signature when hit with broadband Doppler radar, such as what is used to track weather. Mr Smith goes on to say, "By tracking these returns over time, we can compile an extensive geospatial database of the movements and activities of conspiracy theorists across the country. The CIA, FBI, NSA, DOJ, TSA, and various other three-letter government "security" agencies all have a vested interest in controlling the burgeoning popularity of conspiracy theories."

Considering the unlikelihood that our Government would waste billions of dollars a year on supercomputers just to see what direction clouds are going, is indicative that Mr Smith's theory is at the very least, credible. During a rare interview with a, (you guessed it), New York Times reporter, Mr Smith left the confines of his Faraday shelter and stated, "The real mission of weather computers and data collection equipment is to study meme propagation, so that the government can subvert the process and spread bogus conspiracy theories that will lead people away from the sinister truth."

What sinister truth, you might ask?
Mr Smith retreated back into his shelter, refusing further comment.

----------------------------------
I've reported both sides of this issue, so that you, the reader, can make an informed decision on whether or not to build and wear your own AFDB. My thoughts on the matter? I'm wearing mine, as I type this up. Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean THEY aren't out to get you!

Good luck!
