Climb a Tree of Utah: Watery Russian Olive Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Oberon_Kenobi: After consideration, I have decided that there is no reasonable possibility to replace this one close to what it was. I am archiving this so that someone else may be able to place a cache in this area.

Geocache Description:

Climb another Russian olive. This time, it's over water.

An encore for those who like my Climb a Tree caches. This one is another Russian olive tree, so bring your band-aids. Also, this first stage is at least five feet from shore and at least ten feet above the water. I found this one easy to climb, so it's only a 2.5 in terrain.

Once up in the tree, you are looking for a metal tag. The tag has the fractional minutes portion punched with holes, so they are easy to read. The ammo can is easier to get to than the first stage, but I won't tell you what you'll have to deal with.

Initial contents were:

The Ogden Bay Delta Unit is open year-round, but the gate is only open from September through mid-January. Otherwise, park at the end of the road and you'll have an extra half of a mile walk. See the waypoints for parking locations.

Notes on attributes: No motorized vehicles are allowed past the designated parking area. The walk is easy, so bring the kids even if you don't want them climbing the tree. Hunting is allowed during certain seasons. Mosquitoes are present much of the year, so plan accordingly.

Congratulations to davis_b_1 for FTF.
