I really like Little Creek Mountain. There are some great places up here to hide caches, drive around, camp, and just enjoy the view.
To get to the cache, take Highway 59 East out of Hurricane and take the Little Creek Mountain turn off. Go past the volcano and follow your GPS. The big lizard has been up here for over 30 years, and had become just part of the landscape, but it seems the BLM has decided to finally move it. They did not take the cache, however. It is still there.
It seems to have become a party place for the boys out of Hildale, so be wary of muggles.
WARNING: The roads out here can be muddy or even snowy in the winter, and it can get pretty hot in the summer. Please plan accordingly, as there is no cell phone service and visitors can be few and far between.
