Geocache Description:

We'll meet at the Rothesay High School, Room 112 (I'll have signs up giving you directions), starting at 10 AM.

Each year in January and February, the Maritime Geocaching Association holds a Winter Placement Challenge, where winter friendly caches are put out by cachers in each of the four Atlantic Provinces.

At stake?
Bragging rights.

Three years ago, NB took the crown, Two years ago, it was NS's turn to crow! Last year we won it back, and we want to keep it in this year's challenge! Plus as a side benefit, we get to find lots of new caches.

What is a cacher's pot luck? Well, it works alot like a regular pot luck, except instead of food, we'll just bring food containers! Hopefully, just like a regular potluck where there is WAY too much to eat, we'll end up with WAY too many caches!

Bring with you any of the supplies that we have laying around the house, (containers, logbooks, camo stuff, swag). We will put stuff together to make up as many caches as we can. Attendees can then take as many caches as they think they will be able to place for the challenge. I'll bring some finger foods.

Perhaps in your logs you could let me know what you are bringing, and I'll try to fill in any gaps.

***The Rules***

1) All caches are to be winter friendly, at least 3 feet off the ground or in a location where the snow will not cover the cache
2) No micros.
3) Caches to be hid during the periods from January 6th  to February 3rd
4) This contest is open to cachers from the
Atlantic Provinces
(NS, NB, PEI, NFLD)

***Cache Reviewers Special Notes***

Once you submit the cache do not change the --Feb8--, **Feb8**, or ??Feb8??

If there is a change in the cache page after its been reviewed, email CACHE AGENT to tell us cause we won't be looking at the cache page again till the night of listing. If we see something is changed we won't list till the end and then only if it meets the guidelines..... so please email me if you are changing something with the GC# of your cache so that it doesn't get left behind on Feb 8

Tune in to www.maritimegeocaching.com/forum on February 8th starting about 8 pm, to watch and discuss as caches come out, you can see which province is in the lead, trash talk our maritime neighbours, or razz other locals as to who is going to get all the first to finds February 9th.
