Geocache Description:

This is part of a rail series, Easy access for 2 wheel drive vehicles on a gravel road, to the cache location.
Turn off the Murray Valley Highway at the sign Shelley Forest Camp, Avondale Road.

The cache is located at the abandon Shelley Railway Station which was the highest railway station in Victoria at 2562ft above sea level.

The station opened in 1916 to service the farming and timber industry. The line officially closed in May 1979 due to lack of freight. All that remains now is the platform and a few relics scattered around the bush.

Cache container is a 200ml Sistema painted black, it contains geocaching pin, and patch.
