Geocache Description:

On the 49th Parallel

This is the 4th of a series of 7 geocaches located in Hornepayne and along Highway 631 from White River to Hornepayne. I had to take my son to catch the Via Rail Train at Hornepayne to return to college. We decided to set-up several caches in the area, namely because there were no caches in Hornepayne or on the road to Hornepayne from the south.

This cache is located south of Hornepayne on the 49th parallel. The cache is located above the ground, so should be an easy find in the winter (but the snow can be deep in the winter getting to the cache location).

This small cache is a small camouflaged plastic bottle. The original cache contained a old British Penny, one old British half-penny, compass keychain, logsheet and a pencil. There is room only for small trading items.

DO NOT PARK ON THE HIGHWAY NEAR THE CACHE LOCATION. The road is narrow with no room on the shoulder to park. A parking location is located about 3-400 meters further south. There is another micro cache near the parking area which you may want to find (Rest Stop on HWY 631).
