There we were, driving in the middle of nowhere.....YES! The perfect place for a cache. There is a turn out to get you off the main highway although traffic is hardly a problem here.
Cache has a log book, pencil and a few trade items. There is a coin for whoever is the FTF. Log the cache, then send us your name and address so we can get the coin to you.
EBR-1 {EXPERIMENTAL BREEDER REACTOR} is located 18 miles southeast of Arco, Idaho on highway 26, or 50 miles west of Idaho Falls on highway 20. The facility is about 2 miles south of the highway. EBR-1 was the first atomic reactor in the world to generate usable amounts of electricity. The historic accomplishment took place on December 20, 1951. Today, EBR-1 is a Registered National Historic Landmark.
