Wilder Ranch SP, easy inland trail
open 8 AM to sunset every day
As part of a Wilder Ranch hike, we noticed there were not any caches along this end of the park. We made a wrong trail choice elsewhere, and then came to this junction and wanted to be extra careful to take the shortest route down. So I placed a decon just a few steps off the correct trail.
If you want to follow our complete - long, but fabulous - loop hike, start at the ranch headquarters, take Wilder Ridge Loop trail to Enchanted to Baldwin loop trail down to 4-mile beach trailhead. Return to headquarters along the bluff trail, for about 12 miles total hiking.
If you want it quick and easy, just head inland from 4-mile beach parking. (There is access through a tunnel under the highway)
Congratulations to 50sumtin for the FTF, and it's only fitting - since his caches were the main reason for us to hike in Wilder Ranch to begin with. Thanks, Bud.
