Geocache Description:

Rockport is known for fishing and birding. It is also rich in history. This cemetery has some of it's best known ancestors. Here you will find the resting places of most of the family of George Ware Fulton, the founder of Fulton, Texas and the original owner of the Fulton mansion which is now a part of the Texas State Park system. Nearby, is the self-taught ornithologist Connie Hagar who brought world-wide attention to the conservatory of birds in the coastal bend. You might even find a Daughter of the Republic of Texas nearby. Springtime brings wild flowers and the peaceful grounds are covered in color and light. Even though this is a small cache, please bring something to write with as it is an odd shape. Enjoy!!
