Geocache Description:

The search begins on the southern fringes of the Perisher ski lodges unless you really want to do the hard slog out of the Thredbo valley to the south! It is a formed bushwalking track - please stay on the main formed track in summer to protect the sphagnum beds (the rogue snow pole line goes through these)

Try and find a Porcupine in the Australian Bush. Well here's one and it Rocks as well.
The Porcupines are a granite rock formation in the Australian Alps and the views in all directions are spectacular with the Main range to the west and as far to the coastal mountains in the east and south!
A basic cache has been placed in a position that is hopefully above normal snow fall levels in winter.(The geo-grommetts and I will review this after the snow pack develops this year - will it snow again?) Getting here in winter will require snow shoeing or x-country skiing. Allow an hour up to the Rocks from Perisher.
An interesting installation is found just after the start of the walk about 40 metres to the east, off the track is a snow monitoring installation that is part of the winter cloud seeding experiment being done in the region. It measures snow fall precipitation, snow depth wind speeds and temperature.
Rock climbers often call their climbs obscure titles based on what they have experienced in their lives (imagined or real!)so an attempt at something arty for this cache!
A single word can mean many things. You are invited to add your real or imagined life experiences to these definitions for Jilted!
Here are some to start with:-

Journeying far too far to a cache just delisted

Ingenious caches that lure and entice you to strive for them and then remain distant as you near them.

Looking passionately for the Porcupine that is no longer there (if it ever was!)

Team Denmar placing a cache at another spot hours before you get to the same spot to do the same thing!

Exfoliated rocks cast aside by Mother Earth.

Dinner for two, eaten by one:(

Wow how is that for deep!
