Really enjoyed finding this place, it was all it was cracked up
to be, well worth the effort in getting here!
Take the Onemana turn off, turn left at the Pokohino Road, go to
the end, take the dirt track to the right, follow it's meandering
path down to the beach. It's an odd track to start with, but just
persist. Remember it's a Forestry Road that closes at 7.00pm and
head lights on the vehicle are to be on full.
This road can be shut down at times, due to logging, please
contact info @ Whangamata for info ph. 07 865 8340
Check out the small cave on the south east end of the beach, at
low tide you can walk through to the bay on the other side.
Cache is a 1 litre container with the usual goodies, log book,
pencil etc under a small rock.
TAKE CARE WHEN THERE IS A SURF RUNNING, YOU WILL HAVE TO CLIMB UP
THE ROCKS TO GET TO IT, AT LOW TIDE, NO PROBLEM
