Delacour is an unincorporated hamlet in the Municipal District Rocky View. The Delacour station was named after the foreman of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway construction crew. The line became part of the CNR in 1914. Mr. Delacour was from Denmark. The first passenger train went through February 28, 1914. A small store was established in the community in 1914. The post office started operation on November 15, 1915. Both of these are now closed. The former store and post office are now a private residence just WSW of the hall. This community hall and the small Girl Guide Hall just west of here are the current representatives of the hamlet.
There is nor a lot of cover for caches right here so have made this a micro so it should last longer. Please retrun to its original spot.
