This cache appears to be gone. As there has been no cache to find for months, and it seems unlikely that it will be replaced soon, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed as part of the Neighbour of Leap Year's day Bash Event. The cache is a small container, hidden close to a very interesting place of business.

Oxwagon


Hidden in a quiet cul-de-sac in Rayton, we found this interesting property stacked with old ossewa remains. The owner has a keen interest in this old, and almost forgotten method of transport, restoring them to their former state of glory. The wagons restored by the owner all date from before 1870 to early 1900's.

The family expanded this novel interest into a lucrative business, offering ossewa rides from the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria, the ideal excursion for family gatherings, school excursions and corporate functions. For the romantically inclined, there are evening programmes where the visitor gets to spend an entire evening in the way of the Voortrekker, including "moerkoffie" and freshly baked rusks, concluding with a romantic moonlit ossewa ride and a typical Voortrekker dinner.

You do not need to enter private property in order to do this cache. The residents in the neighborhood are not all aware of the cache, so please be respectful of their privacy, and keep an eye out for muggles.
