Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates!

Ahh... another puzzle to solve. I seem to like these annoying little things.

Paint by number

In order to find this cache, you'll need to "paint by number". In the puzzle above, the numbers correspond to the number of consecutive cells that need to be shaded. There is no such information about the cells that remain unshaded. For example, if you see "3 1", you know that there are three shaded cells, followed by at least one white space (but maybe more!), and then another shaded cell. The resulting picture will provide the coordinates.

If you insist, the puzzle is solvable using just the logic provided by the numbers without making assumptions. (I'm the kind of person who would do it that way, even when the answer is obvious.) However, you can save yourself some time by making some educated guesses.

A couple more things:

  • The cache is hidden on church property with permission.
  • There is street parking across the road or you may use the parking lot. Up to this point, my caches have all involved some longer walks. Not this one. It's almost a drive-up.
  • If you think you'll be searching for this on a Sunday, especially around 11:30 a.m. or so, and you'd like to say hello, give me a heads-up. I can get you a cup of coffee to help you on your way.
