Come meet New London's founder and then take a short walk to visit one of the earliest surviving Colonial graveyards in New England. This spot is really a hidden historical gem...

The posted coordinates will take you to Stage 1 where you'll learn the following:

What year was New London founded? A

Who issued the Charter of Connecticut? ____ _______ B

What year was the Charter of Connecticut issued? C

What year did the founder of New London die? D

Final = North Coordinates + ((D-A)+(3*B)) and West Coordinates - ((C-A)+(5*B))

On September 6, 1781, Benedict Arnold (a Norwich native) reportedly stood on this high ground (modern day Hempstead Street) to observe his British troops conquer Fort Griswold across the river in Groton and then coordinate the burning of New London.
