This cache has been archived.

Cuilcagh: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Small public park in Dunmore East overlooking Waterford Harbour.

This park offers great views of beaches, cliffs, Dunmore Harbour and two lighthouses. Make time to walk around the whole park as you will spy different parts of the coast from various vantage points.

Hook Lighthouse (built in the 13th century) can be seen in the distance on the County Wexford coastline.
The lighthouse on Dunmore East pier was designed & built under the direction of Alexander Nimmo in 1825. The tower is fluted like a doric column and is constructed of old red sandstone conglomerate. It stands approximately 50 feet high.

When you can see both in your general field of vision - you are getting closer to the cache site.

The cache is a small camouflaged medicine bottle. Please rehide carefully. BYOP.

WARNING - the cache site contains many Euphorbia bushes. The white milky sap of these is an irritant - avoid contact with skin, eyes, nose and mouth.
