ANZAC over Alice is one of many cache sites along the Outback Way-finder Trail - the longest Geocache Trail in the world.
This cache is located near the ANZAC Hill War Memorial, one of the most visited landmarks in Alice Springs and a brilliant place to view a sunrise or sunset over the East and West MacDonell Ranages. Don't miss the dramatic change in landscape colour and character. Bring your camera for sure.
The site was established on ANZAC Day, 25 April, 1934 to honour WW1 veterans, but is now a memorial to all who have served in defense of Australia in all wars.
The hill is called Untyeyetweleye by the local Aboriginal community and is the home of the Corkwood dreaming story.
Activity: Find out more about the dreaming story and the local area flora and fauna at the summit visitor site.
