Thoth was the Egyptian God of wisdom, time,
writing, magic and the moon. Thoth was responsible for teaching man
language, writing, art, music and mathematics. The main temple
dedicated to the worship of Thoth was at Heliopolis.
The Book of Thoth is a legendary
book containing powerful spells and knowledge. The reader of
the scrolls would know the language of the animals, be able to
cast great spells, and be able to enchant the sky and the
earth. They would also unlock the secrets of the Gods and all
that is hidden in the stars.
There is a popular belief that the Sphinx and
other Giza monuments are thousands of years older than is currently
accepted by orthodox Egyptologists. It has been suggested that The
Book of Thoth has been positioned beneath the Sphinx in the
legendary Hall of Records for over 12,000 years. Ground penetrating
radar and other sophisticated tests have revealed hidden chambers
beneath the Sphinx and the surrounding Sphinx enclosure. Egyptian
authorities will not allow archeologists to excavate or access
these areas. Perhaps the Sphinx is a cover for the world's oldest
geocache! That would certainly change history, wouldn't
it?
Muggles could present a major problem here.
