B.B.Q. Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

PesceVerde: The spot is still there, but out-of-control vegetation is more likely to cause sad face than happy.

Regretfully putting this one in the Archive basket, but may rethink if conditions change.

Geocache Description:

Cabbage Tree Creek snakes through the suburbs of Ferny Hills, Arana Hills, Everton Hills, McDowall, Bridgeman Downs, Bracken Ridge, Carseldine, Aspley, Boondall, Fitzgibbon, Zillmere, Taigum, Sandgate, and Deagon before emptying into the sea at it's mouth near Shorncliffe. The cache is located near the source. Look closely and you'll see it!

The small cache now with a slightly different flavour has been re-placed in this significant if not picturesque location with updated co-ordinates, after workmen cleaned up the area including the original container in mid-2008. More detailed info. about the creek's catchment can be found at http://www.brisbites.com/ and select a suburb like Carseldine.

They say that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line and it's possible to walk 'straight' to GZ along a powerlines access track, or alternatively detour from a nearby street and/or walking track. Mostly unfenced private property borders the clearing under the powerlines here so the cache is within a short distance of the track.

With the recent (Spring 2010) weather, long grass is getting out of control here now. The small container has been re-re-positioned a few metres, back nearer to the original GZ.
