Geocache Description:

A Novelty mystery/multicache in rural Hampshire. Please bring/swap small trackable items.

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE CO-ORDINATES AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE they are in fact for a runway on the nearby airfield.

The place name Golden Pot has intrigued me ever since it became a pivot point for some of my night time security duties, but as the pivotal crossroads here is an accident black spot I refrained from placing a cache here, so the idea of a novelty cache was born.

The Novelty
Instead of going to the area known as Golden Pot you will find a "Golden" pot within the cache, collecting some information at another nearby location.
The "Golden" pot within the cache was crafted by ones own hands as a schoolboy 40+ years ago, and is no masterpiece
To log this cache you must photograph and/or pen a critique not within the logs but sent to an e-mail address that is only available within the cache container. Logs completed thus may be compiled and used as a travel bug or presentation at some point.  ALR removed 25/05/2020
There are no swaps within the cache container but there is room for a few small trackable items which both I and their owners would appreciate that you move frequently.

How to find the Cache
Your quest will start near the Lasham Gliding Clubhouse N51° 11.355 W001° 01.890 where you will find ample parking if you desire to use the facilities to do your calculations after finding some information. The Clubhouse can offer refreshments for groups of up to six persons without notice or larger parties with notice. I was asked what I was doing when gathering the information to set the cache and the use of the clubhouse was immediately offered. Geocaching was mentioned , I think generally they like to see visitors to the memorial that you will visit.

Collect your Information from the memorial near the entrance driveway (the wording may be in different order, the numbers will be the same).

A memorial at the entrance was dedicated on 14 September 2006 to those served at Lasham between ABCD and EFGH.
One of the most famous operations was by RST Squadron. On JK April LMNP six Mosquitos led by Wing Commander Bateson bombed the Central Records Registry of the Gestapo in The Hague from a height of UV feet. The accuracy was such that there were few civilian casualties nearby.
