Over the last year, Milton Keynes has become a hive of
caching activity with both new caches and cachers springing up all
over the place. To celebrate the culmination of our first year of
caching, we've put together a series of caches entitled 'The 12
Days of Caching in MK' and we hope you enjoy it!

The villa at Bancroft was discovered in 1971 and excavated in
the 1970s and 80s. The excavations showed that people had lived in
the area for a very long time and in addition to the Roman remains,
traces of farms dating back to the late Bronze (9OO BC) and Iron
(250 BC) Ages were found. The visible remains of the first of the
Roman farms can still be seen today, was built in the first century
AD when people whose ancestors had lived on a hilltop farm at Blue
Bridge moved down into the valley and settled at Bancroft.
To learn more about this wonderful site, please take a look at
MK Web’s Bancroft Villa site.
Now, down to the cache. You are searching for a small 450ml
clip-lock box. Please ensure that your wedge it tightly back into
its hide as the river can and does flood in onto the flood plain
here and we don't want the cache washed away!
Please be aware that the cache is
very close to the river's edge and the water can be deep. Keep
children and cache hounds on a short leash. Also, be aware
that you can be easily spotted, while searching!
And there you go! Good Luck and Happy Hunting!
