Essential dates for your diary
20th to 22nd June 2008
We have booked the rally field at
Anita's
Touring Caravan Park, just north of Banbury. It is part of a
working farm situated on the edge of Mollington village. It has
fairly basic facilities, with clean toilets and showers and is very
well kept with friendly and welcoming owners. The village has a pub
within easy walking distance (see child waypoint below), and the
nearest shop is in Cropredy or you can drive about 4 miles to
Banbury for a full range of shopping (see child waypoint
below). On the down side there is only five electric
hook-ups available on the rally field for the softies amongst us
:), and these will be allocated on a first come basis so book quick
to avoid disappointment - sorry all gone. For those
without hook-up, we will be able to provide a charging facility for
PDA's, laptops etc and probably a communal kettle.
If you are still desperate for a hook-up the site does have other
pitches with hook-up, but you will have to book it directly with
the campsite as these are not on the rally field and you will have
to pay standard campsite rates. If you mention at the time of
booking that you are with the Geocaching group on the rally field
they may be able to allocate you a pitch nearby.
The obligatory BBQ will be held on
the Saturday evening to which all smiley hunters are welcome (note:
there is a small charge for non-campers cars). It would be helpful
if a few campers could bring a BBQ along and we will provide some
basics such as salad, rolls, sauces etc, oh and don't forget to
bring something to cook!
If you intend to come to this event
please can you log your intentions below, and please include
whether you are camping, if you require electric,
which nights you are camping and how many is in your party. I
suggest you add this page to your watch list as you will then be
automatically notified when we add any updates.
Tariff
No deposit will be required and bookings and money collection will
be done by us and passed onto the campsite.
The price is an inclusive charge per pitch with no extra
charges.

There are a few minor
rules that we will need to abide by but I'm sure they won't be a
problem, will they:

All dogs are to be kept
on leads and owners will clear up after them.

If you think you might
be having a few late night drinks (you know who you are!) you will
be allocated a pitch furthest away from holiday campers,
unfortunately these are also the furthest away from the
electrics.

Any BBQs or fires must
be off of the ground.

As has
become customary at our events Sue will be running a charity raffle
with proceeds again going to Dogs for the Disabled.
Very apt this year as their head office is only a few miles up the
road. If you have any prizes that you would like to donate
please let us know by email. The raffle will be drawn at the
Dreaming Spires Cache Bash 2008 event on the Sunday at 2pm.
Lets see if we can beat last years amount of £200, difficult I know
but we're sure that you can do it.
