Nice view of this Estuary, fairly flat terrain, best to be seen close to full tide, good for family picnics, walks.
Part of this place is sectioned off to provide a home for an endangered species, the NZ Dotterel. Other birds such as the Oyster Catcher can be seen here as well.
On the other side of the stream you can see a campsite set up under the trees, this land is privately owned, & the only access is across the stream. In holiday times there are a number of people seen camping there with their boats, kayaks & tents alongside the river bank.Very controversial around here, due to the noise,apparently.
Cache is a small sistema container, please replace it in the same alignment that you found it in, thanks. It contains a few small items of trade, logbook, pencil.
