Russell Road Park is the home of the Russell
Road Sports Complex. The park is approximately thirty acres in
overall size and features several championship baseball/softball
fields with bleachers, field lights and scoreboards. The park also
has plenty of public parking, a picnic shelter, picnic tables,
barbeque grills, restrooms, telephones, drinking fountains, a
playground area with modern playground equipment, and a concession
stand. The Kent Valley Ice Centre and Riverbend Golf Complex are
adjacent to the park. The Green River Trail is also located nearby,
and Russell Road Park could also be considered an access area for
this scenic and popular regional trail. There is plenty of public
transportation to and from this area.
While seeking this cache, you will be looking
for a 1.5L 'Lock-and-Lock' container. The container will hold
modestly sized trade items, geocoins, and travel bugs. The cache is
not intended to serve as a 'Travel Bug Hotel', but should give
geocachers a safe and convenient location to move travel bugs and
geocoins through the area.
This cache is in a somewhat secluded area of the
park. Muggles should not be much of a problem at this location, but
please be discreet and aware of your surroundings. There are plenty
of locations nearby that have large muggle populations, and you
will be visible to observant muggles on your quest to locate this
cache.
Please be gentle with the vegetation and
landscaping during your quest to locate this cache. Bushwhacking
will not be helpful to locate, retrieve, or replace this
cache.
This cache was created with children in mind.
The cache will be routinely stocked with child friendly swag and
toys. Parents will find that their children will be helpful in
retrieving and replacing the cache.
This cache is created and placed with the hope
that researchers will develop a cure for Multiple Sclerosis during
our lifetimes. This cache is dedicated to a geocaching friend of
mine who has recently been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, you
know who you are! Everyone at Team E5150 sends love and support to
you and the family.
FTF honors are shared by Ms.
Froggy, Crooow, and Mr. Twisty. Congratulations!
