A Hidden Kite for you to find and fly.
Minchinhampton Common is a large area of common land much used by the local kiting fraternity, who go there to annoy the golfers.
This cache contains a small handmade kite which also serves as a “Flying Log Book”. When you have found the cache, please take the kite out onto the common, fly it and take a picture of yourself flying it if possible. If you have a kite of your own bring it along too to get it in the picture. When you have flown the kite you are entitled to sign it with the pencil. There are cattle roaming loose on the common during summer so watch out for cow poo underfoot!
The common can be busy at weekends in the summer with lots of muggles about so please be discreet when retrieving and replacing the cache. There is room in the cache for small swaps and travel bugs.
Please don’t take the kite away but replace it for the next visitors to enjoy.
