The cache is located within La Barrière Park which is operated by the City of Winnipeg. Entry is free. The gates close in the evening around 10 p.m. There are a number of other caches within the park of varying degrees of difficulty. If you are new to geocaching, this is a fine location to practise.

The round trip hike from parking lot to cache and back is about 2 kilometers. The hike is all on grass fields or earth trails except for the final meters in the vicinity of the cache. At cache placement time it was impossible to tell what plants might grow around it. The Poison Ivy attribute has been added as a precaution.
