JOE Exit 14- On The Way To The Park Traditional Cache

The JOE cache series was started by altosaxplayer, a member of the Tri-Cities Geocachers. The name JOE means "Just Off Exit". The series was started as an Interstate 81 equivalent to the "Loop to Loop" cache series that was started in Nashville TN by cgeek. The JOE caches are placed no more than two tenths of a mile from the exit and the hint is a dead give away to the cache location. JOE caches are an easy way to pick up more cache finds while traveling.

Number three of our West Virginia JOE series.

Not much to say about this cache, it's a quick grab right off the highway, and easy to get right back on afterwards. If you are looking for a place to stop for a bit you can continue down this road and come to a War Memorial Park. The kids can play and you can enjoy a picnic lunch as well. There is also a nicely done Multi in this park GCTHPW.

We grabbed some JOE caches while visiting the Scrubs Grandparents in VA and thought they were a great idea. When planning our trips we always struggle with which caches really will be quick grabs and which may end as disasters and getting lost in an unfamiliar city. This cache is meant as a super quick grab for those traveling through the area and a nice fast smiley for those that already live here.
