This cache is full of scouting things, such as merit badge books, assorted patches, glow sticks and miscellaneous other items.
I would prefer that you trade like items to help keep this cache in the scouting spirit. My intention with this cache is to encourage (boy & girl) scouts and their parents and or leaders to participate in geocaching. I also would like to remind everyone that looks for this cache of the scouting ways – leave no trace - and if you see any trash to please pick it up and dispose of it properly.
This cache has been placed with the permission of the Bureau of Land Management in the Meadowood Recreation Area (MRA). Please follow the following rules while searching for the cache:
1. Only attempt the cache when Meadowood is open – the times are posted at every entrance.
2. The trails are multiuse between hikers, horseback riders and others.
3. Give horseback riders the right of way on trails.
4. Stand to the side of the tail until horses are well past you.
5. Speak to horseback riders as they approach. This helps the horse understand that you are not a threat.
6. Keep dogs on a leash at all times and make an effort to restrict dogs from barking.
7. Never run at or touch a horse without the rider’s permission.
8. Never follow directly behind a horse.
This cache is located in the eastern section of the MRA. This park is broken up into two sections - an eastern and western area. To get to this cache you will need to park off to the side of the gate that’s on Belmont Boulevard (Do not block the gate). If the gate is open you can park by the house, but I would check with the staff inside the house to see what time they are going to leave so you don’t get locked in.

I’ve placed this cache so you can do a circular hike if you like. Enjoy MRA it has a lot to offer.
Beware...The horses like to drop mines on the trail, so watch your step.
Look for Scout Stuff 1 in the western section of the MRA.
