Come out and meet us on our "Cyclops and Son Spring Break
GeoTour '08". We've taken two prior spring break geocaching and
site-seeing vacations in the past three years. This year we thought
that we would do this year’s trip a bit different.
This year we are going to have an event in the cities that we're
going to stop in for the night. Our fourth stop will be in Atlanta
(Marietta), GA. This trip is what I’m calling a “hop and stop”
method, meaning that we will cache our way to a city and spend two
nights there. In the full day that we will be in town we’re going
to cache (of course) and want to host an event to meet local
cachers.
This event is going to have a simple theme. It will be just an
informal “Meet and Greet” with a small prize table. The event will
be at Shoney's, 1129 Highway 92 Acworth, GA (770) 975-8105,
starting at 9:00am and running until 11:00am. I’ve made the
reservation for a section of the restaurant. Their party room was
booked by a regular group. Please state how many will be in your
party so that I can let the restaurant know.
When you arrive, be sure to put your caching nickname into the
prize drawing bucket (one ticket per geocaching nickname regardless
of the number in your party). At 10:00am we will start to draw
names for the prizes. You’re welcome to bring a prize for the table
if you wish. We will be providing some prizes, as well as
commemorative gift to celebrate our trip.
