La confluence du Rhône et de la Saône

La ville et cette cache sont situées au confluent de deux fleuves. La cache ne contient que le logbook : Prévoyez donc un stylo.

The city and this cache are located at the confluence of two rivers. The cache only contains the logbook, so you should take a pen with you.

Lyon a la particularité d'être serpenter par deux cours d'eau : Le Rhône et la Saône. De nos jours, la confluence Rhône-Saône se trouve à la limite sud de Lyon. Considéré comme un obstacle à l'agrandissement de la ville, le confluent a été repoussé vers le sud au fil de l'histoire. A l'origine la confluence se situait au pied de la colline de la Croix Rousse, au niveau actuel de la place des Terreaux. Si vous êtes visiteur à Lyon, vous pouvez y aller à pied, ou louez un vélo'v, c'est facile et rapide. Voir les détails ici.
Les travaux le rendent difficile d'atteindre la cache ainsi la meilleure méthode est de commencer à N45 44.070 E4 49.170 et de s'approcher en descendant le Rhône sur la voie.

Lyon has the peculiarity to be flanked by the curve of two rivers : The Rhône and the Saône. The Rhône-Saône confluence is currently at the extreme southern limit of Lyon. Regarded as an obstacle to the expansion of the city, the confluence has over the course of time pushed back towards the south. The confluence was originally located at the foot of the Croix Rousse hill, at the level of the current large square : La Place des Terreaux. If you are a visitor to Lyon, you can walk, or rent a bike (the vélo'v), it’s easy and quick. See details here.
The works make it difficult to reach the cache so the best method is to start at N45 44.070 E4 49.170 and approach down the Rhône on the track.
