In woodland. A long Ha-ha (A low wall and ditch) is nearby. A chalybeate spring (rich in iron salts) and the Chapeltoun Burn running from it are in the vicinity of the the cache location. The nearby wood is called Anderson Plantation - no one knows who Anderson was. The Stewarton Woodland Action Trust are creating an extensive network of high quality walkways around Stewarton. If you are interested in the history of the area then look up Corsehill, Chapeltoun and Stewarton on Wikipedia.

The wood has three Geocaches in all. The woodland closer to Stewarton is called the 'Wendy' wood - be afraid, very afraid :-)
