The 3rd installment for the 'Australian Conflict' series.
1939-45
Over 993,000 Australians served in the armed forces during World War II. Of those on active service, 27,073 were killed in action or died, 23,477 were wounded, and 30,560 were taken prisoner of war. Of those taken prisoner, 8296 died in captivity.
The best way to get to GZ is to walk, or by mountain bike. Road bikes not recomended, as the track you follow is undulated and has blackberry in parts. GZ is situated near a creek, so there are 2 ways to get to it. one path leads you along a black fence for some time then onto GZ. The other leads you down a slighly steep hill with blackberry occasionally crossing the track, wear long pants. I suggest the first route.
The cache is as long as my arm and 100mm dia. so good size items can be swapped.
Original contents are
party poppers
pen
notepad
ANZAC pin.
Parking is not close to GZ, so prep for a walk.
