In the vernacular, 'Doppelgänger' has come to refer to any double or look-alike of a person, and most commonly described as an 'evil twin'.
The origin of the word is German and is made up of :
'doppel' (meaning double, from the French double) +
'Gänger' (meaning Gang, from the Old High German ganc)
In geocaching terms, well that's another story and you'll see exactly what we're on about when you get there.
The cache is basically a drive-by and is located within the Wauraltee Conservation Area, on the west coast of the Yorke Peninsula, just below Pt Victoria. It is a lovely area of the YP where you can have isolated beaches all to yourself, go fishing, boating, sand boarding and even have a play with the 4wd.
There is ample bush camping sites all along this stretch of coast, most of which are suitable for caravans, so there's no excuse for not being able to make a holiday of it and nab all the other great caches around the area.
*** Please take your time driving in to the cache
- there are some rather obscured corners and it is definitely only a one vehicle track.
