One of three caches, linked by place name, all within 3 miles of each other, (Cheeky 1, 2 and 3.) You must find caches 1 and 2 to get the co-ordinates for Cheeky 3. These are three of my favourite Sunday afternoon strolls.
Cheeky 1 is a small screw pot in a bag on little used footpath. Nearby lane is tiny, so parking is difficult. You will need to find suitable place and then walk to the cache. Suggested parking is available at N51 39.744 W002 21.022 about 1km away. My normal route for this walk is to stay on lane to cottages at N51°40.005, W2°20.237' and then walk along footpath to the cache. Continue to N51°39.793', W2°20.665' and then head back down to the lane. This then has uphill section on tarmac and is easier to find correct path. Be sure to follow footpath and not wider track when they split. If you approach by shortest route from parking place, when climbing the hill, go over stile and turn right at the hand rail (there is arrow on a tree to confirm this is the path.) Nearby pub, The New Inn, sells Bath Ales and a nice selection of food, which we often partake in before this stroll. GPS signal can be poor due to trees but clue should make it clear. (I did get accuracy to 17 feet to place this cache, but if anyone has better GPS than me and can improve on my figures please let me know.) Don't forget to pick up information to solve Cheeky3!
