Parish Road Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Satellite Kid: Decided to archive this one as I have moved further away which makes it more difficult to maintain. Also its too good a location to go to waste so hopefully this will give someone local a chance to place a cache here that will be better maintained than it was by me.
Cheers to all that visited, glad you made the effort.

Geocache Description:

A 1.6mile walk from parking to cache on muddy and often flooded paths across common land and grassy tracks. Sturdy walking boots are a must.

This cache is a replacement for my previous multi cache, Leyshon's Parish Road cache (GCZ445), that finished up at this same spot. As a multi cache it didnt seem to receive too many visitors so I have changed it to a traditional cache in the hope that more people will make the effort to visit this lovely spot.

The trail from the car to the cache is clearly defined but be warned that it is very muddy at times. When I was setting the cache parts of the trail looked more like a canal than a path but it is still passable with care.

Parking is available at the layby at N51 33.781 W003 29.395
From here just follow the path all the way to the cache.

The cache is placed near the ruins of Capel Llanbad or Llambad church which was originally built in the 12th century and rebuilt in the late 17th century. The first page in the log book will explain more and give you some bonus co-ords for the return journey if you have any energy left for a further 0.34m gentler stroll.

Hope you enjoy the sights on the way over and the views from the cache.
Cheers
Jon Leyshon
