Geocache Description:


Pulling into the parking lot of the Dillon Ranger Station, you will notice a large, wooden announcement board. TRY TO PARK IN FRONT OF THIS BOARD. The cache is a small, black cylinder tube located behind the "White River National Forest" sign on the wooden announcement board.

If you are height-challenged, there is a small brick ledge you can step up on. This is a very easily located drive-by cache. Your challenge is in your stealth and your ease in appearing to be looking at the info board while actually retrieving the cache. You may even want to go inside the building and browse. The Ranger Station has lots of information on the area which we found extremely helpful during our visits to this area.

It is very important on your replacement skills of the cache as you don't want it easily seen but be sure to not push it too far back and have it fall. Plus, I've been warned that the current Ranger in charge is not geocaching-friendly and will remove any caches found.
