This is a traditional cache, which is located in the shadow of the world famous Humber Bridge.
The cache is situated along the Hessle Foreshore, within short walking distance of the bridge car parks (N53 43.841 W0 26.899). The track leading to the cache forms part of both the Wolds Way and the Trans Pennine Trail, and is one of our favourite walks. The Beverley 20 also commences at the Humber Bridge and takes this route initially. The path is narrow and uneven, and can be muddy in wet weather.
If you are travelling across the bridge, be aware of the toll charge (£1.50 each way per car @ May 2013)
When you have found the cache, there is an excellent photo opportunity.
Please note: there is no need to rebuild the boulder formation, or indeed excavate the foreshore, as the cache is accessible by moving one small stone. Please take care to replace exactly as found, including the item referenced in the clue. Thank you.
NOTE: The footpath is currently marked as closed (01/01/2019), but by walking around the barrier at the eastern end, the cache is still accessible, but great care should be taken, as there is a falling hazard. I haven't investigated access from the western end.
