Geocache Description:

Easy to get to should be able to drive real close to it. You can park at the chapel parking lot or at the other end of the park. I have changed this to make it simpler since people seem to have a hard time with it. you just need to go to the 1st stage to get the coords to the 2nd.

These Air Raid Shelters were built back in Dec 1941. They were made for the employees and residents. It was estimated the they would hold 30,000 people and they could get into them in 3 minutes. They were to expensive to demolish so they used them for storage. On the swing and graveyard shifts during the war, the shelters were used for more than just storage creating personnel problems not covered by air raid instructions or federal regulations. Happy Cachin!
