A small cache located near the old Station House in Coundon.
This is our 6th cache in the series and is located on an old branch line from Bishop Auckland to Spennymoor. The line was used to transport mainly coal but wa sometimes used as a detour to the main East Coast line when the Bishop - Darlington line was busy. The old station house is still standing and today is used as a residential property. The line has been transformed into a walk/cycle way with a hard compact surface which is good for walkers or cyclists.
Parking is available really close, use the slip road next to the garage.
