Geocache Description:

This cache is in the Town of Renfrow.
It was once a thriving town with three elevators, two banks, a three story hotel, a lumber yard, two gas stations, a jewelry store, clothing store, barber shop, blacksmith shop, a machinery dealer, and a combination dance hall and skating rink.
Today, there are two Co-ops, a bear "joint", and less than 20 townspeople - and no children.
The only original building standing is the telephone building which is in disrepair.
The original one room school house was replace with a two-room one in 1955-56, and closed at the end of the 1967-68 school year. Students elected to go to either the Medford or Caldwell schools.
This cache is in memory of my husband Bill. We loved living and raising our family in Renfrow. In 2000, he met his untimely death when the tractor he was driving overturned. Bill loved metal detecting and I know he would have just loved geocaching.
Rest in peace, Bill.
Love you,
Molly
