FTF Hound #5: Any Size Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

VerrueckteFrau: Stopped by to retrieve a geocoin that wants to go to Germany.
When I arrived I saw much to my dismay that the hiding place had pretty much completely disintegrated by now, so all there was left was a big orange bag in a small pile of rotting wood. Yes, I looked for alternate hiding spots, but found none that weren't too close to other caches. And the contents were in not so great shape anymore either (except for 2 of the items that were part of the original cache contents when it was published which were still in great shape - you guys have no idea what you missed out on by not taking the book or the CD!).
So unfortunately the time has come for this cache to be archived.
Well, it was fun while it lasted, especially early on when the stump was still standing and you had to find something to stand on and go fishing with a stick to get the big orange bag out of the bottom of the stump [:)]
Maybe the bag will make a comeback in another place some day, who knows.
Thank you all for visiting!

Geocache Description:

No, I'm not even going to try to keep up with FTF #3 and #4 - this is just a simple Traditional cache...

Recently in the GONIL area, it has been a race to get the FTF on a new cache, with it usually going to the same person all the time, or another well-known cacher getting the honor and moving on. Now they have to work a little harder to keep their title! As part of the new series, FTF Hound, the cacher who gets the FTF has to keep the series going by placing a new cache with the tag "FTF Hound" within 30 days or repercussions will follow (To Be Determined, but nothing too harsh) The cache can be any size or type, but it has to be hidden within the 6 county area (Cook, Lake, DuPage, Will, McHenry, or Kane).

Other FTF Hounds in the Series:

FTF Hound #1: You've Got Mail...Again?
FTF Hound #2: Harry's "FORE" U
FTF Hound #3: A Series of Unfortunate Caches
FTF Hound #4: Where Did I Put That Key!!??

Now, about this cache:

When I first went into this forest (searching for Cache "U"), I thought "Wow, you could hide any size cache in these woods!".
So here it is - the any size cache!

The container can take on various sizes - from quite Small to a 5 gallon Large (so if you end up with that bowling ball travel bug, you might be able to fit it in here).
Of course I'm not going to tell the FTF Hounds which size it's starting its geocache life at . After you find it, feel free to post which size it was when you found it.

Please make sure you close the container tightly, as instructed in the logbook and on the container itself, to ensure that it stays waterproof. I am leaving a bunch of spare ziploc bags to put swag into - just in case somebody doesn't close it right...
Please re-hide exactly as you found it! There should be no parts easily visible!! See instructions in the logbook, too!

FTF, STF, TTF and FKTF (First Kid(s) To Find), check for a note addressed to you

Update 6/5/09: The hide location has suffered some significant storm damage recently, so the cache got a lot easier to find, and lost a lot of its fun aspect. But it still works, and it's still fun, so I'm keeping it there - maybe some day I'll find such a sweet hiding spot in this forest again and move the cache...
