Geocache Description:

Located on Orton Ridge, with fine views on a clear day. Initial path can be muddy with gradient, levels out on ridge.

So called due to the array of man made structures atop the ridge – one stands out above all though – a landmark for miles around and of which you will get a closer look if you complete this cache and it’s bonus ….. Orton Towers Too,

Parking available at large layby on Northbound A449 at N52 32.536 W002 10.530 or turn in just past the layby and follow lane South to park adjacent. From here start of footpath is at N52 32.610 W002 10.524

Quite easy two stage multi. Initial walk quite steep and can get very muddy – but levels out and worth the effort for some excellent views - from the Malverns in the south, past the Clee Hills to the Wrekin in the west, whilst northwards the horizon is bounded by the heights of Cannock Chase.

Stage One – 35 mm canister – contains co-ords for……..

Stage Two – small click and lock containing small gift for 1st & 2nd to Finders.(also contains co-ords to bonus Orton Towers Too GC18PR9)

Our very first hide – so let us know how you go and thanks to the Washers for a little insight into cache placing.

The area can get very busy and walkers and dogs will appear from all directions, so utmost stealth will be necessary!
