A wandering walk along the river Wensum on the outskirts of Norwich with six clues to reveal the co-ordinates of the cache.
Welcome to my first geocache!
The co-ordinates given are for the starting point of the walk.
You can park the car at N52 38.018 E001 17.248 (small 24-hour pay and display car park).
This is a nice part of the river Wensum to have a walk along.
The final cache is located at N52 38.ABC E001 15.DEF.
To find the numbers for A,B,C,D,E and F visit the co-ordinates below and answer these questions:
A. At the start of the walk, what cycle path number goes this way? Then add 2=A.
B. At N52 38.497 E001 16.887 How many steps (only count one side)? Then minus 6=B
C. At N52 38.474 E001 16.817 find the last digit of the year this bridge was opened? Then minus 3=C
D. At N52 38.517 E001 16.575 How many silver birches are there here? Then add 3=D
E. At N52 38.509 E001 16.556 How many red spots are on the sign? Then add 5=E
F. At N52 38.455 E001 15.929 How many horizontal planks on the fence? Then add 6=F
When you have found the cache you can either return the way you came or continue up the path and you will emerge to a road and can follow the road back. Both routes are about the same distance. The total round trip is about a 3.5 mile walk.
All of the walk is along clearly defined paths but in some places it may be muddy.
You can probably do this route with pushchairs, wheelchairs or bicycles but it will be easier on foot.
The cache is a largeish flattish tupperware-style box.
Original contents: miniture playing cards, bouncy ball, puzzle ball, folding scissors on key-ring, 4-colour pen, mini highlighter, step-counter.
