Geocache Description:

This is a combination cache and travel bug motel near the landmark Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. Easy access makes this a great TB stop for anyone staying on the south end of town.

This geocache is named in honor of a small cage structure near the cache location. It used to be the home of one of the retired MGM lions. The cache is a large ammo can. No need to bother the plants. Watch for muggles on the nearby bike path when retrieving the cache. There is a nice bench nearby where you can relax and sign the log. Hint is a spoiler, but use it if you need to avoid drawing attention from muggles. There is a separate container inside for trade items. No restriction on taking TBs. One of my SLO Trekker 2007 geocoins is permanently attached to the cache, so even if there are no TBs at the time you can at least discover it. Please take the time to make sure the ammo can is closed correctly so that the small tabs do not get bent. This cache was placed with full permission and cooperation of the property owners.
