軽井沢は日本でもっとも有名な避暑地でジョンレノンなどが滞在していたことも有名です。
この公園は市民に愛されている公園です
夏には花火大会が開かれ 冬にはクリスマスイルミネーションで飾られます。
この矢ヶ崎公園には1987年に作成され木製の大きな橋が架かっていました
公園がオープンした際は日本で一番長い木製の橋でした。
木製と言うこともあり冬には雪も積もる軽井沢では難しかったのかもしれません
2011年に老朽化を理由に解体されてしまいました。
いまでも池の中心には橋脚が乗っていた部分だけが寂しく残っています。
