Poor satellite coverage. Coordinates will get you within 200+ feet of caves. Follow bright-pink tape markers. Fairly flat trail. A 30-minute hike downhill, about 45-minute return. Inclination and difficulty increases 15 minutes before reaching the caves. Low overhead clearance and slippery access. Water depth increases quickly from 2 to 8 feet. Bring: waterproof flashlights and/or candles to enjoy the caves to the fullest, water shoes, towels or dry clothes for trip back.
Located on the eastern side of Guam, Pagat Cave is a wonderful and mysterious place to visit. The primary attraction is of course the cave, but the coastline along this side of Guam is spectacular in its own right. The cave, located in a sinkhole at the bottom of the cliff, contains a deep freshwater pool, perfect for swimming and cooling off after the hike down. Pagat also contains the remains of an ancient Chamorro village; latte stones and grinding stones can be seen throughout the jungle at the bottom of the cliff. The pool in the cave is a great place to relax and cool off. When it is lit with dozens of small candles, it is an incredible sight. The coastline here is wild and remote. There is no fringing reef on this side of Guam, and the full fury of the Pacific smashes into the coastline. The coast here is coral limestone cliffs, about 10 to 30 feet high. The waves smash into these cliffs and raise a cloud of salty sea spray and foam. [Cited from GVB]
