Quick cache at a Scenic Turnout on Highway 12 near Escalante. PLEASE take care with the traffic - it's not a busy spot, but look both ways!
This is a beautiful spot and a fun stop while touring along Hwy. 12 near Escalante in Southern Utah. I lived in Escalante for 10 years and in that time I have probably driven past this spot a thousand times. Placing this cache today was the first time that I have stopped - I love this hobby for this reason!
The name of the cache is taken from the title of the plaque at the scenic turnout here. Take a moment to read about the location, and the kids will love the little spotting scope here to point you to exactly what the sign is describing.
Cache is a small/micro camoed tube. I would love to see photos of you and your group at this spot, but is not a requirement to log the cache. Please let me know if the container needs maintenance. I would appreciate it.
I hope that you enjoy this spot, and I hope that more people that drive by here all of the time will stop to appreciate this location.
