Come help us kick off my Great Alaskan Geocaching Tour. This is the
first of ten days caching in Alaska. NorthWes is joining the fun of
co-hosting this event since he was such a great resource during my
whirlwind visit last April.
Where: Kincaid Park Chalet's Main Picnic Shelter, located 30 yards
west of the chalet.
When: 1930 until ???
Food: Potluck. Please indicate closer to the event what you are
able to bring. We will provide the drinks, cups, paper
plates/napkins, etc.
In April 2007 I visited Anchorage for a one day caching binge from
Maryland in a quest to cache every state in my rookie year.
Northwes was very helpful in pointing to a few areas for me to
consider. Kincaid Park was my first stop. I couldn't believe the
views. Surely it couldn't get any better, right? Wrong! Traveling
along with me are Cane Hunter and Tombearr. This is their first
visit to Alaska. I'm sure they will feel the same way. After
spending a few days in Anchorage we will be traveling north to
Denali N.P., Fairbanks, Prudhoe Bay and return south back to
Anchorage and onward to Seward, Kenai Fjords N.P., and Ressurection
Bay!
