This series of caches takes you from Shediac to Malakoff. You
are now at the Scoudouc River, so this cache is also part of the
Scoudouc River Series. The river is down a steep descent next to
the trail.
The trail between SM 20 and SM 23 has quite a few minor
obstacles, mostly small trees and branches and a few trenches, but
it is a beautiful trek along the Scoudouc river. Roads in this area
are not plowed, so you may need to snowshoe like we did in
winter.
If you are doing the series, you should be able to get the first
11 caches by vehicle when Pellerin Road is passable. Beware of mud
in Spring and beyond. Long ago a bicycle was the best method to go
beyond SM11, but the logs indicate that it may now be too muddy. It
seems that the series is quite a challenge.
NOTE THAT A STREAM CROSSES THE ROAD BETWEEN SM23 AND SM24. IT
MAY NOT BE PASSABLE AT CERTAIN TIMES OF THE YEAR
